TEACH mode

Menu structure for TEACH mode
The TEACH mode can be used to teach-in the switching points of the distance monitoring function for
the threshold value comparator switching function. The binary signals Out A and Out B can be provided
with two values that are independent of one another.
Note
The procedure for teaching the binary signals Out A (A pushbutton) and Out B (B push
button) is the same. The procedure is described below based on the binary signal Out A.
1. Set the desired sensing distance between the object and measuring nozzle.
2. First press the A pushbutton and then the Edit button as well.

[Out A] and [TeachIn] flash. The value is transferred as the switching point.

If [Lock] flashes (security lock active): The value is stored in the buffer.
If the security lock is active [Lock]:
3. Set the security code by using the A/B pushbuttons.
4. Press the Edit button.

[Out A] and [TeachIn] flash. The value that is stored in the buffer in step 2 is transferred as the
switching point.

SOPA switches to RUN mode.
