Coding elements are available for connection blocks. When
coding a connection block the corresponding coding element
(type A or type B) must be inserted into the underside of the
block in a defined alignment (
Fig. 2/3).
CPX-P connection blocks of pre-assembled CPX-P terminals
and separately supplied CPX-P connection blocks in an ...-IS
configuration are supplied mechanically coded. Separately
supplied CPX-P connection blocks for non-intrinsically safe
circuits can be provided with a coding element if required.
Before mounting for the first time, conduct the mechanical
coding procedure for uncoded connection blocks as follows:
1. Make sure there is no coding element in the connection
block. To remove coding elements
section 2.2.2.
2. Lay the interlinking block and electronics module
