Conduct the parameterisation process in the following se-
quence:
1. Stop the counter and frequency measurement via PIO
2. Conduct the parameterisation process. The channel is
initialised automatically.
3. If an error is not reported, the respective function can be
used with the loaded parameters (start, stop and, if ne-
cessary, reset).
In the event of invalid parameters, the previously correct
values remain effective.
