Coding proposal for terminal connection of the CPX-P modules
In order to ensure maximum protection against incorrect con-
nection, all of the contact points for a connection are
provided with a coding element for the following proposed
coding procedure. Either a coding profile is to be inserted
into the plug-in block or a coding tab is to be inserted into
the recess of the box header on the connection block for each
contact (
also Fig. 1/6).
4 coding tabs are used for the box header on the connection
block and 4 coding profiles are used for the associated plug-
in terminal block for the 8-pin terminal connections. This en-
sures up to 70 different codes are available.
The following table shows the codes for the box headers and
the code for the associated plug-in terminal block alongside.
A contact point designated “1” should be equipped with the
respective coding element, a contact point designated “0”
should not. In a modular system with up to 18 plug-in termin-
al blocks (max. 9 CPX-P modules permissible), a maximum of
72 coding profiles are required for plug-in terminal blocks
and 72 coding tabs are required for box headers.
