Connecting and disconnecting the cable
Please observe the maximum permissible number of mating
cycles and assembly operations for the components used
(
technical data in appendix A).
M12 connection block

In order for the completely assembled modules with M12
connection blocks to comply with protection class IP 65:
•
Only use appropriate plug connectors for connection.
Plug connectors from the Festo range of accessories are
appropriate for this purpose
(
www.festo.com/catalogue).

Tighten the union nut of the plug connector – tightening
torque

0.5 Nm.
•
Seal any unused sockets with protective caps ISK-M12
(accessories) – tightening torque
›
0.5 Nm.
Terminal connection block
CPX-P-AB-2xKL-8POL-…
In order to ensure a secure contact for these connection
blocks:
•
Only use appropriate terminal strips for connection. Plug
connectors and terminal strips from the Festo range of
accessories are appropriate for this purpose
(
www.festo.com/catalogue).
•
For plug connectors with screw terminal connection: Use
suitable wire end sleeves for connection.
•
Only connect one conductor for each spring-loaded ter-
minal or screw terminal.
