13.2  General information on inputs / outputs 

13.2.1 Front panel connectors 

The modules of the CECX modular control system are designed with male 
connectors on the front panels.  
 

Female connectors for the CECX modules 

Suitable female connectors must be used as counter plugs for the male 
connectors. The female connectors can be ordered from Festo.

Grids 

The grid 5.08 mm is used. Only standard female connectors by Phoenix 
Contact and Weidmüller may be used for the CECX modular control sys-
tem. Connectors of other manufacturers may only be used if the manufac-
turer can guarantee a reliable connection. 

13.2.2 24 V power supply 

Cable type 

Unshielded cable. The cable cross section must match the power require-
ments of the module. 

Plug type 

Standard female connectors with grid dimension 5.08 mm.
