10.3 Camera Offset
Calculation of the deviation between optical axis (crosshairs) and mechanical axis (bond head, bond tool).
>>
Position the crosshairs with a joystick over a free bondable area on the substrate.
>>
Press Store Trace button to save the position and measure the height of the surface.
>>
Press the "Bond" key.
The selected number of wires is bonded. The bonding parameters are taken from the single wire. However, the para-
meters can be adjusted under the corresponding tabs.
>>
Adjust the size of the displayed rectangle to the actual tool size and position the rectangle over the bond area.
You can also use the virtual joystick to do this.
>>
Accept the position with the <Store Trace> button.
>>
Repeat for all bonded wires.
The deviations are shown in a graph.
Save the entries with OK.
10.4 Axis Calibration
Since every mechanical part has a certain manufacturing inaccuracy, there can be deviations in the positions
approached by the axes.
Therefore these deviations should be considered and compensated by a calibration of the XY axes. By measuring the
axis with a glass scale during axis calibration, this inaccuracy can be included in the software and thus positions can
be approached much more precisely.
This calibration must never be repeated by the user.
