5.2.3 Museums
In the theme selection, select the button
Museums
. A window displaying further
subcategories will appear.
You can now either search for
all
Museums
, just
select the
Highlights
on the theme or just display
the
Insider Tips
.
If no MARCO POLO Insider Tips are available for
your central search point, for example, then the
Insider Tips category will not be displayed on the
screen.
Depending on the category selected, available entries are arranged in a corresponding
list
.
The list entries are sorted by distance, beginning with the shortest distance to the current
central search point.
Note:
The distances in the POI list indicate the distance to the destination as the crow flies.
The exact distance to be covered is not determined until the route is calculated.
5.2.4 Food and Drink
In the theme selection, select the button
Food and Drink.
The Food and Drink theme is subdivided into
additional categories. For example, you have the
option of searching for particular
restaurants
which serve a specific
style of cuisine
.
A screen showing additional subcategories will be
displayed, which you can select by tapping on
them. The following categories are available:
All
categories, Highlights, Insider Tips, Beer
Gardens, Bistros, Ice-Cream Parlours, Snack
Bars, Asian, French, Italian, Regional, Seafood
and
Other
.
If destinations in all subcategories are available, these will be displayed, spread over three
pages. You can move on to the next page by tapping the blue arrow.
If your search is centred on a smaller location or rural area, destinations may not be available
in all subcategories. The corresponding subcategories will not then be displayed on the screen.
After selecting a category, you will be provided
with a
list
showing the destinations which were
found within that category. You can move through
the entries in the list using the arrow keys. The list
is initially sorted by distance. This means that
destinations which are closest to the central
search point appear first in the list.
Note:
The distances in the POI list indicate the
distance to the destination as the crow flies. The
exact distance to be covered is not determined
until the route is calculated.
