6.4.11. Setting operation for hidden stitch sewing..
Operating as indicated the machine cuts the sole and at the same time stitches it. This type of working
produces neither a channel or a grooving, but simply a cut on the sole, in which the stitching enters and is
hidden. (See the pictures at the end of the page).
To set, proceed as follows:
- Turn off the machine using the main switch and disconnect the machine cable from the electricity
supply.
- Replace presser foot n. 5416.10 with the distancer n. 5418.10 and with the cutter presser foot
(chance to replace it with art. No. 5496.00).
- Open the front door on the sewing head using the key supplied with the machine.
- Turn the hand wheel until the reference notch of 00 is lined up as can be seen on the cam
n. 6406.00.
- Tighten the screw n. 6412.00 (tab. 12), placed on the right side of the machine head, as far as it
touches the supporting pivot of the piece n. 6407.00 (to cut out the presser foot bar advance step
n. 5417.20).
- Set the blade part which juts out, and the spring n. 5451.14 (tab. 13) in order to obtain the
desired cutting distance.
- Close the door with the key.
- After finishing the stitching take away the shoe and close the cut flattening it.
