dangerous goods.
● The housing material is fully recyclable.
● Device and accessories must be decontaminated prior to
disposal, since pathogen-containing secretion residues can
lead to a hazard.
● Observe careful separation of materials.
● Observe country-specific disposal regulations (e.g. waste
incineration).
Disposal in the EU
The suctioning device described above is a high-quality medical
device with a long service life. After the end of a life cycle, the
device must be transferred for technically correct disposal.
According to the EU directives (WEEE and RoHS), the device
must not be disposed of via the general household waste.
Please observe the existing laws and regulations for disposal
of old equipment which apply in the respective country.
Disposal in Germany
In the Federal Republic of Germany, the procedure for disposal
of old electric equipment is specified in the Electrical and
Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). The TRACHEOFIRST
®
COMPACT is exempt from the Electrical and Electronic
Equipment Act (ElektroG) in accordance with the EAR (Waste
Electrical Equipment Register Foundation) regulation for this
type of device. In order to ensure that the regulation-compliant
disposal procedure is observed, either return the old device
to your responsible specialist dealer, or send it directly for
technically correct disposal to Andreas Fahl Medizintechnik-
Vertrieb GmbH.
Prior to disposal or transport, all accessory and tube
components must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.
The device itself must be subjected to a surface disinfection.
