5.0 OPERATION
N
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING THE CONTAINER SYSTEM
The device must not be operated without the bacterial filter, oversuctioning protector and air filter!
Therefore, have at least one spare bacterial filter and one spare air filter ready!
Check each time before using the device whether the bacterial filter / oversuctioning protector / air filter and the container lid
are clean and dry. Moist or contaminated filters must be replaced by new filters.
For your own safety, use disposable gloves when replacing the bacterial filter / air filter!
The bacterial filter / air filter is a single-patient product. The bacterial filter / air filter must therefore be replaced each time when
the device is used for another patient. If the device is used exclusively for one patient, the filters must be replaced at least
every 4 weeks (depending on frequency of use).
5.1 SECRETION CONTAINER
AND LID OF CONTAINER
● Fit the container lid onto the secretion container, holding it
horizontally while the container is standing on a firm surface.
● Press it onto the container (Figure 5 / a - c) with both hands as far
as it will go, exerting light pressure.
● Then insert the secretion container into the device.
5.2 CONNECTING THE BACTERIAL FILTER
TO THE SECRETION CONTAINER
● The filter is connected between the connection on the
suctioning device (➊) and the connection for the suctioning
device in the centre of the secretion container lid (➋) with the aid
of the two short connecting tubes (Figure 5 / d).
