GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read these instructions for use through carefully
before taking TRACHEOFIRST
®
COMPACT into operation.
Andreas Fahl Medizintechnik-Vertrieb GmbH neither
warrants faultless function, nor will Andreas Fahl
Medizintechnik-Vertrieb GmbH accept liability for damage to
persons or property, if
● no original accessory parts and spare parts are used,
● the instructions regarding proper use in these instructions
for use are disregarded,
● assembly, readjustments, modifications, extensions and
repairs have not been carried out by persons and
companies who have been authorised by Andreas Fahl
Medizintechnik-Vertrieb GmbH.

COMPACT conforms to the accepted
rules of technology and the provisions of the Medical
Devices Act.
No warranty claims are accepted in the event of damages or
malfunctions that have arisen due to the use of accessories
or consumables from external companies.
Only transparent tubes must be used.
The repeated use of components labelled with is
prohibited. If used repeatedly, these components use their
function and there is a high risk of infection.
The device must not be operated in environments exposed
to explosion hazard and enriched with oxygen.

TRACHEOFIRST
®
COMPACT is designed for aspirating
body fluids, secretions and rinsing fluids that typically arise
during suctioning of the airways. The device must not be
used to aspirate any explosive, flammable or caustic gases
or liquids.
Do not use parts packaged in sterile packaging anymore
if the packaging has been damaged during transport or
storage

risk of infection for the patient!
The device must not be operated in areas exposed to splash
water or in zones exposed to explosion hazard.
If the device is to be fully ready for use at any time for
emergencies, then it must be continuously charged by
means of the power supply while being stored.
Only use the power supply unit included in delivery.
This suctioning device must not be operated without
disposable bacterial filter.
TRACHEOFIRST
®
COMPACT must only be used by persons
who have been briefed in the medical application.
The suction tube to be used must never come directly into
contact with the place where suction is to be applied. A
sterile suction catheter or a medically approved suctioning
set must always be used for suctioning.
Pull the plug of the power supply out of the wall socket to
disconnect the device from the mains power supply in each
of the following situations:
● before cleaning and performing maintenance on the
device,
● before emptying the container,
● each time before leaving the room.
Do not pull the plug out of the wall socket by pulling on the cable!
Never touch the plug or the cable with wet hands.
Caution!
There is a risk of strangulation due to the long suction tube,
the mains plug of the power supply and the low voltage
cable of the power supply unit.
