3.2 CONNECTION TO THE POWER SUPPLY
Check whether the mains voltage and frequency indicated on
the device are the same as the voltage and frequency of the
supply network.
Check the connection cables for possible damage. If the cable
shows damage, replace it immediately!
3.3 START-UP

TRACHEOFIRST

COMPACT is delivered ready for
operation.
● Lift the device out of the packaging. Check whether the
voltage values indicated on the power rating plate agree with
the voltage supplied.
● Always place the device on a level, secure surface.
● Be sure to heed the safety instructions in Section 2.0 before
taking the device into operation for the first time.
● After being transported at temperatures below the freezing
point, the device must be left to stand at room temperature
for up to six hours. If the device is
not
acclimatised, it
must
not
be operated, as the membranes of the unit could
be damaged.
● Always have at least one bacterial filter ready, since it is not
allowed to operate the device without this!
3.4 OPERATION
3.4.1 OPERATION WITH POWER SUPPLY
Connect the low voltage cable of the power supply (Figure 3,
➏) to the low voltage connection of the device (Figure 2, ➎).
Plug the mains plug of the power supply (Figure 3, ➐) into the
wall socket.
3.4.2 OPERATION WITH CAR
CONNECTION CABLE
Connect the low voltage connection of the device (Figure 2, ➎)
to the cigarette lighter socket of the car, using the special car
cable (Figure 3a).
