7.0 MAINTENANCE / REPROCESSING FOR REUSE IN
ANOTHER PATIENT
7.2.1 BACTERIAL FILTER
● The bacterial filer must be replaced each time when the
device is used for another patient.
7.2.2 AIR FILTER
● The air filer must be replaced each time when the device is
used for another patient.
7.2.3 SUCTION TUBE AND FINGERTIP
● The suction tube and the tube connector (Fingertip) must be
replaced each time when the device is used for another
patient.
7.2.4 SECRETION CONTAINER
● Each time when the device is to be used for another patient,
the secretion container must be disinfected with one of the
instrument disinfectants recommended on page 36. Please
note that the secretion container should first be emptied
and rinsed with clear water in order to ensure a better
cleaning result.
The respective instructions for use of the disinfectants
must be observed!
7.2.5 LID OF CONTAINER
● Each time when the device is to be used for another patient,
the lid of the container must be disinfected with one of the
instrument disinfectants recommended on page 36. Please
make sure that the container lid has first been disassembled
into its individual components (lid, float and tube connector).
In order to achieve a better cleaning effect, first rinse the
individual components (lid and float) for at least 10 seconds
under clear water. Then disinfect the individual components.
The respective instructions for use of the disinfectants
must be observed!
In order to prevent infections, always use disposable gloves
during the entire procedure.
For instructions on how to remove the secretion container lid,
refer to Section 5.0 on page 33.
7.2.6 DEVICE SURFACE
● Each time when the device is to be used for another patient,
the entire surface of the device must be cleaned with a moist
cloth (never use a wet cloth) and must then be disinfected
with one of the surface disinfectants recommended on
page 36.
Some disinfectants can cause discolouration of the material,
which does not affect the functionality of the device though.
Make sure that the device has first been disconnected from the
mains power supply!
The device must never be autoclaved, rinsed under running
water or immersed in liquids!
