only SCTE 35 packets will be dropped so other stream components are unaffected. The SCTE 35
PID is generated by receiving SCTE 104 data or GPI triggers.
Control Data:
These parameters allow the user to set the Control Data PID number, have the PID
enable or disable and select the max bitrate in kbps. If the max bitrate is exceeded the PID will be
limited and only Control Data packets will be dropped so other stream components are unaffected.
The Control Data PID is a custom Evertz signal that can be used to carry proprietary control data. It
can be disabled in most applications.
UDP Port:
This parameter is used in combination with the Control Data parameters. If using Control
Data the UEP will look at the Control Port interface (via the EMX-FC) for IP packets that have this
UDP port number. It will then place that IP data in the stream for use by downstream devices.
VANC:
These parameters allow the user to set the VANC (SMPTE 2038) PID number, have the PID
enable or disable and select the max bitrate in kbps. If the max bitrate is exceeded the PID will be
limited and only Control Data packets will be dropped so other stream components are unaffected.
The VANC PID implements SMPTE 2038. All VANC data will placed into a PID and put in the stream.
There’s a VANC Filter component available that can limit up to 20x DID’s and SDIDs from passing.
VANC Filter:
This parameter is used in combination with the VANC parameters. This allows the user
to enable or disable the VANC Filter. When enabled, 20x DIDs and SDIDs can be configured to block
incoming VANC components and not pass through to the SMPTE 2038 PID.
Audio Assignment
Audio 1-8:
The UEP has 8x audio encoders onboard. These parameters allow the user to select the
Audio PID number, select the audio start channel pair and select the audio encoding mode for each
audio encoder. Audio encoders can be disabled by selecting off from the Audio start select. For
multichannel standards be sure to choose the correct audio start pair. The Contribution encoder and
the IPTV encoder share the same audio encoders.
