Connecting device to computer:
a. Plug in a standard Ethernet cable (CAT5e or better) from the PC’s Ethernet port to the
EMX-FC control port of any EMX frame. Note, the EMX-FC is a switch and all UEP’s in
the frame will use the EMX-FC switch to communicate through this main control port.
b. Connect the multicoloured Evertz upgrade cable to header J3
on the front card edge of
the UEP as shown below. The header is on the top if vertical (EMX6) or the left if
horizontal (EMX1 or EMX3)
c. Login using customer/customer as login ID and password.
d. Upon login, change the IP address of the UEP under
(1) Network Setup
from the Main
Menu screen as shown below.
e. On the computer screen, select “Start” in the bottom left corner. Then select “Control
Panel”. Search for the “Network Connections” icon and double click it. Double click the
interface icon “Local Area Connection” and click the “properties” button. Following that,
