INSTALLATION OF THE SYSTEM
CAUTION!
Any installation work should be carried out only by suitably
qualified service technicians, with professional licences required by law
The electrical system on the premises must comply with the installation guidelines
that are applicable to the UPS unit of the given output. System installation
requirements have been specified in a separate document “Installation
Recommendations for UPS POWERLINE GREEN 33 LITE UPS Systems.
Parallel /
Redundant Operation”.
SYSTEM START-UP
CAUTION!
Before operating the UPS unit always make sure whether the
units have been correctly installed, in line with the installation
recommendations.
Perform the following operations to start the system:
1. Check whether the F3 and F4 protections are in the OFF position on all units. If
they are not, move them to the OFF position.
2. Open F1, F2 and F5 fuse holder clamps on all units (F5 applies only if an external
battery pack is connected).
3.
Switch on the protections which exist in the facility’s electrical system (associated
with the UPS system).
4. Connect all the UPS units in the system by switching on (activating) all the output
protections for all the UPS units (mounted in the fuse box at the end of output
leads from UPS units).
5. Switch ON the F3 and F4 protections of all the individual UPS units (the unit in
which protections are activated first will assume the role of the MASTER unit).
6. Wait until the units switch to the WATCH mode.
7. Install suitable fuses into each fuse holder clamp on the battery packs (
see the
TECHNICAL DATA chart
) and close the circuit by closing the fuse holder
clamp(s).
8. Insert suitable fuses into the F5 fuse holder clamps, and then close the holder
clamp(s) to close the circuit (thus switching on the battery pack systems).
9. Insert suitable fuses into each F1 fuse holder clamp.
