Starting-up the UPS unit (power supply from the main line)
After the UPS unit has been correctly connected, starting the unit is accomplished in
the following sequence:
1. Check whether the F3 and F4 protections are in the OFF position. If they are not,
move them to the OFF position.
2. Open F1, F2 and F5 fuse holder clamps.
3.
Switch on the protections which exist in the facility’s electrical system (associated
with the UPS system).
4. Move the F3 and F4 protections into the ON position.
5. Wait until the unit switches to the WATCH mode.
6. Place a suitable fuse into the fuse holder clamp on the battery pack (
see the
TECHNICAL DATA chart
) and close the circuit by closing the fuse holder clamp.
7. Insert a suitable fuse into the F5 fuse holder clamp, and then close the holder
clamp to close the circuit.
8. Insert a suitable fuse into the F1 fuse holder clamp.
9. Close the F1 fuse holder clamp, and after waiting approximately 10 secs, also
close the F2 fuse holder clamp.
10. Set the desired UPS unit configuration (at first start or when changes are
required).
11. Switch ON the UPS unit from the user interface panel (CONTROL 1/4; UPS On).
Perform steps 6 and 7 only when additional battery pack has been connected to the
system.
After these steps have been completed, the unit starts its normal operation.
Start-up (no supply in the main lines)
– “cold start”
After the UPS unit has been correctly connected, starting the unit is accomplished in
the following sequence:
1. Check whether the F3 and F4 protections are in the OFF position. If they are not,
move them to the OFF position.
2. Open the F1 and F2 fuse holder clamps.
3. Insert a suitable fuse into the F1 fuse holder clamp (do not close the holder
clamp).
