4. Insert a suitable fuse into the F5 fuse holder clamp, and then close the holder
clamp to close the circuit.
5. Place a suitable fuse into the fuse holder clamp on the battery pack (
see the
TECHNICAL DATA chart
) and close the circuit by closing the fuse holder clamp.
6. Close the F1 fuse holder clamp.
7. Wait at least 10 sec.
8. Close the F2 fuse holder clamp. The batteries are now connected.
9. Move the F3 and F4 protections into the ON position.
10. Set the desired UPS unit configuration (at first start or when changes are
required).
11. Switch ON the UPS unit from the user interface panel (CONTROL 1/4; UPS On).
Perform steps 4 and 5 only when additional battery pack has been connected to the
system.
After these steps have been completed, the unit starts its normal operation.
Switching off and disconnecting the UPS unit
After the UPS unit has been completely disconnected, perform the following
operations in the given order:
1. Switch OFF the UPS unit from the user interface (CONTROL 1/4; UPS Off)
–
switching off using the logic system.
2. For the duration of de-installation of the UPS unit disconnect any protections of
the main line and the BYPASS line in the switchgear in the room or the building.
3. The F3 and F4 protection in the UPS unit should be moved to the OFF position.
4. Disconnect the F1, F2 and F5 protections by removing fuses.
5. If battery packs have been connected to the UPS unit, repeat the operations in
step 4 for the F1 and F2 protections in those packs.
6. Remove the protective plugs from the connection elements on the UPS unit and
any packs that may possibly be installed.
7. Disconnect the connection cables from the switchgear, UPS unit and the packs
(disconnect also any connection cables between packs). Leaving connected
cables with disconnected outputs is strictly prohibited!
8. Re-install the protective plugs.
