Installing and Using ActiveSync

Important Installation Notice

Before you install ActiveSync, make sure that the USB cable on the Pocket
PC is not connected to the personal computer.

Connect the USB cradle only

after ActiveSync is installed.

Installing ActiveSync: Use the Companion CD to install Microsoft

ActiveSync on the personal computer.

ActiveSync is already installed on

your Pocket PC.

Hardware installation: The USB cradle is a plug-and-play device.

Use the

USB cradle and the USB cable to connect your Pocket PC to your

personal computer (desktop computer or notebook).

USB ports: Connect one end of the USB cable to the Pocket PC and the
other end to the USB port on the personal computer.

Charger or USB cradle: Dock the Pocket PC into this cradle and make
sure that it is firmly seated into the slot on the cradle.

AC adapter: For charging power.

For prolonged use of this Pocket PC

(such as network connection), we recommend that you use the AC adapter
for longer lasting power.
