Prodigy FlyPipe Installation Guide
5. To test the lower overtravel limit, press and hold the LOWER LIMIT override button.
6. Press the Control switch in the DOWN direction until the hoist travels through the lower
hard limit, the overtravel limit is reached and the hoist stops automatically.
7. Press and hold the OVERTRAVEL override button for 10 seconds (the Power status LED will
blink) to allow for movement off the overtravel limit.
8. While continuing to hold the OVERTRAVEL override button, press the Control switch in the
UP direction until the hoist is back to its normal operating range.
9. If necessary, adjust the lower limit switch as needed to attain the desired hard limit.
Note:
Using local controls to move the hoist does not override the limits you have set
unless you use the override buttons.
To Set and Test the Upper Limits
1. Loosen the two Phillips screws on the bottom of the upper limit switch (furthest from the
motor) and move it to the approximate position you want.
2. Tighten the screws so the switch is stationary.
3. Press the Control switch in the UP direction until the hoist reaches the upper hard limit
(Upper Limit status LED illuminates blue).
4. Press the Control switch in the DOWN direction and move the hoist off the upper hard
limit.
Note:
It is important to return the batten to its normal operating range before testing
the overtravel limit. Testing the overtravel limit with full momentum of the hoist is the
desired outcome of returning the hoist to its normal operating range.
5. To test the upper overtravel limit, press and hold the UPPER LIMIT override button.
6. Press the Control switch in the UP direction until the hoist travels through the upper hard
limit, the overtravel limit is reached and the hoist stops automatically.
7. Press and hold the OVERTRAVEL override button for 10 seconds (the Power status LED will
blink) to allow for movement off the overtravel limit.
8. While continuing to hold the OVERTRAVEL override button, press the Control switch in the
DOWN direction until the hoist is back to its normal operating range.
9. If necessary, adjust the upper limit switch as needed to attain the desired hard limit.
Verify Hoist Address
All hoists ship with the address of 001. Prior to commissioning your system or using the system
controller, ensure that each hoist is set with a unique address that is within the address range of
the system controller. For example, if you are using a QT-24 controller, you can only control
addresses in the range 001-024.
Use the black and red address dials on the local controls to set the hoist address. Adjust the dials
to display the desired address. The dials represent 100s, 10s, and 1s from top to bottom.
CAUTION:
Failure to assign each hoist a unique address results in system
errors and prevents the system from functioning properly.
