LDAP Search
The Scan - Address Setting - LDAP Search window allows you to configure
the following items:

When an LDAP server is used, the correct search results may not be
retrieved when the search is performed from a server using anony-
mous access.
Address Registration (Scan to Server)
On the Scan - Address Setting - Address Registration page, select the
server type of address destination to be added.
Item Description
LDAP Search Specify the method for searching for the destination.
Choices:
Name, E-mail
Default: Name
LDAP Search
String Specify the LDAP search string.
Range:
Up to 20 characters
Default: [Blank]
Apply button Starts the LDAP searching.
Clear button Resets all configuration settings for this window to their
user defaults.
Item Description
Address
Registration From the drop-down list, select the type of address des-
tination to be added.
If “FTP” is selected, refer to “For FTP Server” on page
248.
If “SMB” is selected, refer to “For SMB server” on page
251.
Choices:
FTP, SMB
Default: FTP
Apply button Displays the page for the type of address destination
selected from the list.
Clear button Resets all configuration settings for this window to their
user defaults.
