The printer may or may not require activation.

If Print job queue is deactivated displays on the LCD panel, continue with “Activate the
Printer” on page 17 .

If Ready displays on the LCD panel, continue with “Clean the Printer” on page 19 .
Activate the Printer
If the printer requires activation, obtain an activation code from Entrust Datacard technical
phone support at 1-800-328-3996. Do this before starting the activation process.
Have the printer serial number ready for phone confirmation. The serial number is located on the
configuration label of the printer.

Unlock the access door lock and open the printer access door.
2.
Locate the configuration label and write down the printer’s serial number.
If your system includes an embosser, you also need the embosser serial number. The embosser
configuration label is located inside the embosser on the lower enclosure. Open the embosser
supplies access door to view the label. Refer to the printer’s
User’s Guide
for more information.
