MULT 1 and MULT 2 submenus
The MULT 1 and MULT 2 submenus have the following options. These options define the
alarm multiplier when the machine speed in within one of the defined speed bands. You
define the speed bands with the options on the SPD BND submenu (page 24). You define
the alarms with the options on the ALARMS submenu (page 18). The options are the same
in the two menus. MULT 1 contains the channel 1 options. MULT 2 contains the channel 2
options.
For more information on speed bands, see “Understanding Speed Bands” on page 38.

SET
AS MLT1
Choose the alarm multiplier (0.1–100.0). When you set AS: ACT option
on the BND: ACT submenu (page 25) to MULT or BOTH, the monitor
multiplies all the alarm setpoints and display scale for channel 1 during
the start-up period. The start-up period is defined by the STARTUP option
in the DELAYS submenu (page 32). During the start-up period, the alarm
action is not affected by the machine speed (it ignores the speed bands).
A value of 1 does not change the alarm setpoints at all. Values greater than
1 increase the setpoints so that the machine can pass through critical
speeds without tripping an alarm.
B1 MLT1
Choose the alarm and display scale multiplier when the machine speed is
in band 1
(0.01–9999.99).
B2 MLT1
Same as B1 MLT1, but for band 2.
B3 MLT1
Same as B1 MLT1, but for band 3.
B4 MLT1
Same as B1 MLT1, but for band 4.
B5 MLT1
Same as B1 MLT1, but for band 5.
B6 MLT1
Same as B1 MLT1, but for band 6.
B7 MLT1
Same as B1 MLT1, but for band 7.
EXIT
Return to the RANGE1 submenu. The monitor remembers the current
values for menu options, but does not write them to memory until you exit
the Factory menu.
