Entek IRD 6652 DSP Protection Monitor

Special Considerations
The 6652 DSP protection monitor includes common functions for several different
monitors. This means that some menu options appear that are not relevant to the 6652 DSP.
These features are reserved for future enhancements. For example, the ALT LO and DNG
LO options on the ALARMS menu have no effect on the operation of the 6652 DSP. These
functions only apply to the 6682 DSP monitor.
Front Panel Description
The 6652 DSP front panel appears below. It consists of two bar graphs, showing the level of
the two input channels relative to the full scale. Above the bar graph, the numeric display
shows the actual vibration value for the active input channel. The numeric display
automatically switches between the two input channels every two seconds. The display uses
a small line above the active channel bar graph to indicate the active channel.
There are three BNC connectors below the display: one for each input channel, and one for
the tachometer signal.
l
The two channel BNC connectors carry a buffered output signal at the same level as the
transducer input signal. Note that the transducer bias is also at the same level as the
input signal from the transducer.
l
The third BNC connector carries the tachometer trigger signal. This signal is only
active when there is an active tachometer input signal. The output signal from the BNC
follows the input signal from the tachometer between ±12 V.
