BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST
TIME
Remove all packaging, stickers and plastic wrap from the appliance.
Open the lid and remove the accessories from the appliance.
Place the appliance on a heat-resistant, dry, non-slip and level surface.
Place a drying rack onto the appliance base. Stack the
number of drying racks required for the dehydration
process on top of each other (see illustration).
Finally, always position the drying rack without a hot air
vent last, to ensure good heat distribution.
Place the lid onto the top drying rack.
Connect the appliance to a mains socket. The local
mains voltage must correspond to the technical specifi-
cations for the appliance.
Perform a test run for approx. 30 minutes without food
to remove any potential residue from the manufactur-
ing process (see “Operating the dehydrator” on page 41).
