Dynamic IP
Dynamic IP addressing assigns a different IP address each time a device connects to an ISP service provider. The service is most
commonly used by ISP cable providers.
Host name
Assign a name for the internet connection type. This field can be blank.
MAC Address
Enter the MAC address of the devices’ network interface card (NIC)
and click
Clone MAC
. Click
Set Default
to set the MAC address to the default
value.
Interface
Displays the network interface type.
Note:
Some ISP providers require registering the MAC address of the network inter-
face card (NIC) connected directly to the cable or DSL modem. Clone MAC
masks the router's MAC address with the MAC address of the device’s NIC.
Click
Apply
to save the settings or
Cancel
to discard changes.
