Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE)

Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) is used mainly by ISPs that provide DSL modems to connect to the Internet.

Username

Enter the username assigned by an ISP.

Password

Enter the password assigned by an ISP.

Service Name

Enter the service name of an ISP (optional).

MTU

Enter the maximum transmission unit (MTU). The MTU specifies the largest

packet size permitted for an internet transmission (PPPoE default: 1492). The MTU
size can be set between 512 and 1492.

Type

Configure the connection type between the router and the ISP. Choose

Configure the maximum idle time (1 to 1,000 minutes) allowed for an

inactive connection.
