Write protection switch prevents editing of parameter values through the following:

Local display
•
Modbus RS485 protocol
•
Modbus TCP protocol

Set the write protection (WP) switch No. 1 on the main electronics module to the ON position to enable hardware
write protection.

In the Locking status parameter the Hardware locked option is displayed. In addition, on the local display the
-symbol appears in front of the parameters in the header of the operational display and in the navigation view.

Set the write protection (WP) switch on the main electronics module to the OFF position (Factory setting) to
disable hardware write protection.
No option is displayed in the Locking status parameter. On the local display, the
-symbol disappears from in
front of the parameters in the header of the operational display and in the navigation view.
DIP switch No. 2 manages customer transfer applications, which are not used in this device. Keep this switch
in the OFF position.

Hardware locked
DIP switch No. 1 for
is activated on the PCB board. This action locks write
access to the parameters (e.g., from the local display or operating tool).
Temporarily locked
Write access to the parameters is temporarily locked due to internal processes running in the
device (e.g., data upload/download, reset, etc.). Once the internal processing has been completed,
the parameters can be changed.
