Connecting Modbus RS485
Opening the terminal cover
1.
Loosen the securing clamp of the connection compartment cover.
2.
Unscrew the connection compartment cover.
3.
Squeeze the tabs of the display module holder together.
4.
Remove the display module holder.

5.
Attach the holder to the edge of the electronics compartment.
6.
Open the terminal cover.

Connecting the cables
1.
Push the cable through the cable entry. To ensure tight sealing, do not remove the sealing ring from the cable
entry.
The temperature of the J22 TDLAS Gas Analyzer can reach 67
°
C in 60
°
C ambient at the cable entry and
branching point. This must be considered when selecting field wiring and cable entry devices.
2.
Strip the cable and cable ends. In the case of stranded cables, also fit ferrules.
3.
Connect the protective ground.

4.
Connect the cable in accordance with the
signal cable terminal assignment.
The device-specific terminal
assignment is documented on an adhesive label in the terminal cover.
5.
Firmly tighten the cable glands.
This concludes the cable connection process.
