For bridle pipes
For bridle applications the basic guidelines are similar to the guidelines written above for still pipes i.e.
that the 3-, 4-, and 6.-in. cone antennas will fit the corresponding pipe sizes, and you should try to get
the gap as small as possible. If possible, and if the application allows for it, another general guideline is to
keep the pipe inlet as small as possible.
In more difficult bridle applications with inlet pipes larger than 2 in. or in pipes with severe contamination
can be expected, the antenna size should be customized to better fit the pipe. In this case do the
following:
a. Measure the inner diameter of the pipe.
b. Cut the cone antenna so that it fits inside the bridle pipe.
c. Make sure that the gap between the pipe and the antenna is smaller than 0.04 in. (1 mm).

antenna.
