Meter Monitor (Detailed) view

Flow Profile

Flow profile ratios can be viewed by
clicking on the arrows in the upper
left of the chart.

The flow profile ratios for chords A
and D and chords B and C should be
equal lengths.

The flow velocity ratio between
chords A & D or chords B & C should
not differ by more than 10%, changes
will be reflected by the symmetry and
flow profile values.

If the difference persists,  the flow
conditioner (if installed) should be
checked for blockages and if required
the upstream piping should be
cleaned.

Per path Speed of Sound (SOS) differ-
ences should not be more than .35%,
these can be viewed by clicking on the
arrows in the upper left of the chart.
Negative values are shown in blue.

The SOS difference can be caused by
buildup on the transducer, incorrect
geometrical and delay time values
and stratification at lower velocities.

Gains and Signal to Noise Ratios (SNR)
are displayed in decibels and should
be compared to the initial values in
the maintenance logs taken during
the calibration or initial start-up.

The average chord signal amplitudes
should be compared to the initial
values in the maintenance logs.

The Check Status chord LED will turn
from green to red if a path is hard
failed.  The issue or issues causing the
failure must be corrected before the
alarm can be cleared.
