2.1.18. GPIOs
The
SMARC‐iMX8M
module supports
12
GPIOs, as defined by the
SMARC
specification. Specific alternate functions are assigned to some
GPIOs
such
as
PWM / Tachometer
capability, Camera support, CAN Error Signaling and
HD Audio reset. All pins are capable of bi‐directional operation. A default
direction of operation is assigned, with half of them (
GPIO0 – GPIO5
) for use
as outputs and the remainder (
GPIO6 – GPIO11
) as inputs by
SMARC
hardware specification.
