2.1.14. I2S Interface
The
SMARC‐iMX8M
module uses
I2S
format for Audio signals. These signals
are derived from the Synchronous Audio Interface (
SAI
) of the
NXP
®
i.MX8M
processor. The Serial Audio Interface (SAI) implements a synchronous serial
bus interface for connecting digital audio devices. It is by far the most
common mechanism used to transfer two channels of audio data between
devices within a system.
