Attaching Embroidery Foot J
CAUTION: Always turn off power/light switch
when changing presser foot or needle.

Turn off power/light switch. Remove foot holder

To attach embroidery foot J, place foot on
presser foot bar with the arm of the embroidery
foot

resting on the needle clamp screw.
Firmly tighten screw.
Inserting Embroidery Needle
To achieve the best embroidery results, Elna
recommends using an embroidery needle
compatible with your fabric, thread and project. Size
75/11 is suitable for most embroidery projects. See
page 13.
Installing Embroidery Unit
CAUTION: Never grasp the carriage

to install
or remove the embroidery unit.
Turn off power/light switch. Remove auxiliary
bed/accessory box. Slide embroidery unit onto free
arm, pushing the unit until it meets the machine with
no gap between the two. Slide locking lever

to
the far right until it clicks.
Removing Embroidery Unit
Turn off power/light switch. Slide locking lever
B
to
the far left. Pull embroidery unit away from sewing
machine. Store embroidery unit in storage case.
