ELECTRIC A L & CONTROL TROUBLESHOOTING
A TTENTION : chec k f or bro k en or loose cable lugs f irst.
NO S Y MPTON PROBABLE CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION
1. The po w er supply
indicator (red led)
doesn’t light up.
There is no correct voltage
bet
w een the line and
neutral ter m inals on m ain
P.C.B.
-I f the voltage is lo w repair po w er supply.
-I f there is no voltage repair general w iring.
-I f there is correct voltage replace m ain or
display P.C.B’S
2. The operating
indicator (green led)
does not light up. The re m ote control
batteries are discharged
-Replace batteries o f the re m ote control
3. The operating
indicator (green led)
does not light up
w hen
starting f ro m unit..
Chec k m ain P.C.B and
display P.C.B.
-Replace P.C.B i f necessary.
4. The indoor f an does
not f unction correctly.
Chec k the voltage bet w een
indoor f an ter m inals on the
m ain P.C.B
- I f there is voltage replace capacitor or
m otor.
5. The outdoor f an does
not f unction correctly.
Chec k the voltage bet w een
indoor f an ter m inals on the
m ain P.C.B.
There is voltage bet w een
outdoor f an ter m inals on
the outdoor unit.
There is no voltage
bet
w een outdoor f an
ter m inals on the outdoor
unit.
- I f there is no voltage replace m ain P.C.B
- Replace capacitor or m otor.
- Chec k and repair electrical w iring bet w een
indoor and outdoor units.
6 . The co m pressor does
not start up.
Chec k voltage on
co m pressor ter m inals on
the outdoor unit. ( w ith
a m p m eter)
Chec k i f there is correct
voltage bet w een
co m pressor ter m inals on
the outdoor unit.
-I f no voltage replace m ain P.C.B.
- I f lo w voltage repair po w er supply.
-I f the voltage corrrect replace capacitor or
co m pressor.
-I f there is no voltage repair electrical w iring
bet w een indoor and outdoor units.
7 . The re f rigeration
syste m does not
f unction correctly.
Chec k f or lea k s or
restrictions, w ith
a m p m eter, pressure guage
or sur f ace ther m o m eter.
- Repair re f rigeration syste m and charge
re f rigerant i f necessary.
8. No cooling or heating
only indoor f an w or k s.
Outdoor f an m otor f aulty or
other f ault caused,
co m presssor overload
protection cut out.
-Replace P.C.B.
- Outdoor f an bloc k ed re m ove obstructions.
