11.11.2 SatSeconds “Safety Net”
The SatSeconds “Safety Net” is for patients whose saturation makes frequent excursions below or
above the SpO
2
limit but does not remain in violation long enough for the SatSeconds limit to be
reached. If three or more SpO
2
alarm limit violations occur within a 60-second period, an alarm
will be triggered even if the SatSeconds limit has not been reached.
11.11.3 Setting SatSeconds Duration
You can set

or to the duration among

. To configure the
SatSeconds settings, enter the
SpO
2
Setup
menu and select the desired SatSeconds setting from
the
SatSeconds
list.
