4.8.9.1 High-pressure monitoring in satellite or booster operation
If satellite operation (parameter “Boost./Kaskade”=OFF, menu 3-1) is selected or the HP Z2 transducer
(parameter “HP-Transducer Z2”, menu 3-1) is deactivated, the high-pressure is monitored jointly.
If the high-pressure exceeds the configurable threshold for the compressor disable (menu 3-3 tc OFF Comp
Z1), up to 60% of the compressor capacity stages is gradually disabled until the pressure has dropped to a
value below the configurable threshold for compressor enable (menu 3-3 tc ON Comp Z1).
If all Z1 and Z2 compressors are switched on, the first Z1 compressor is switched off without a time delay.
After exceeding the tc OFF Comp Z1 threshold (menu 3-3), the fault report ”high HP Z1" is generated after a
configurable time delay. The message priority can be configured. No message is generated In the heat
recovery mode. In the event of any pending HP fault, no additional compressor capacity stages are loaded.
4.8.9.2 High-pressure monitoring in booster or cascade operation
If cascade operation (parameter “Boost./Kaskade”=ON, menu 3-1) and the HP Z2 transducer “HP-Transm.Z2”,
menu 3-1) are active, the high-pressure of the Z2 circuit is monitored in addition to and independently of the Z1
high-pressure. The otherwise common high-pressure is then replaced with independent HP-Z1 and HP-Z2
monitoring for each Z1/Z2 circuit.
The parameters for the Z2 compressor lock (Parameter tc OFF Comp Z2, menu 3-3) and Z2 compressor
enable (parameter tc ON Comp Z2, menu 3-3) are then shown in the operating screen of the system centre.
The function for both Z1/Z2 circuits is then identical to the HP monitoring described above. The tcoFF and
tcON thresholds then relate to the parameters ”tc OFF Comp Z2” and ”tc ON Comp Z2”.
"High HP" message during cascade regulation
The "High HP Zx" messages still only refer to their respective Z1/Z2 circuit when cascade regulation is active.
In the event of exceeding the threshold tcOFF Z1 (parameter tc OFF Comp Z1, menu 3-3) during cascade
operation, the message "High HP Z1" is transmitted. In the event of exceeding the threshold tcOFF Z2
(parameter tc OFF Comp Z2, menu 3-3) during cascade operation, the message "High HP Z2" is transmitted.
The ”High HP Z2” message priority can be configured separately from the "High HP Z1" message priority. In
contrast to the message “High HP Z1”, the message ”High HP Z2" is not suppressed in heat recovery mode.
Compressor unload in the event of HP fault during booster / cascade regulation
If the Z2 HP transducer is active and there is no fault in the measuring circuit, only Z1 compressor stages are
