6. Remove the snap ring from groove in ID of drive

gear.

8. If necessary, remove bushing from pocket in

clutch shaft.

9. Move the drive gear to the rear and against the

4th speed gear, engaging teeth of sliding clutch

gear.

7. Pull shaft forward and from splines of drive

gear.
