Using the Web Browser to Access the Camera
The DVTEL DVPlayer web player software is used for accessing the camera, configuring its properties, and
viewing video through your web browser.
Note:
Users who have previously installed the DVPlayer application on the PC should delete the
existing DVPlayer from the PC before accessing the camera. For information on how to uninstall
and clear temporary Internet files, see
Deleting the Existing DVPlayer
(page 95).
To install the DVPlayer software online
Open your web browser and type the camera’s IP address. The unit’s
Login
Window opens.

Enter the default user name (“admin”) and password (“admin”).
Note:
1.
The user name and password are case-sensitive.
2.
For security purposes, it is recommended to change the user name and
password.
3.
If the password is changed and DVTEL Latitude AdminCenter Discovery feature is
in use, deselect all other proprietary types. Select
IOimage
as the Unit Type so
that the new password can be configured in the Latitude Discovery tab settings.
Upon initial connection to the camera, a prompt to install the DVPlayer application appears.
Click
Allow
.
