10.3.3 Selection of external setpoint signal
The input for external setpoint signal can be set to different signal
types.
Select one of the following types:
•
0-10 V
(e.g. for potentiometer),
•
0-20 mA
,
•
4-20 mA
,
•
Not active
.
If
Not active
is selected, the setpoint set will apply.
The setpoint set is the maximum value of the external setpoint
signal, see section
. The actual value
of the external setpoint can be read from section
.
Stop at min.
Possible settings:
•
On
,
•
Off
.
If the function is on
,
the motor will stop and start as follows:
• 0-10 V setpoint signal:
The motor stops when the setpoint voltage is < 1 V.
The motor restarts when the setpoint voltage is > 1.5 V.
• 0-20 mA setpoint signal:
The motor stops when the setpoint current is < 2 mA.
The motor restarts when the setpoint current is > 3 mA.
• 4-20 mA setpoint signal:
The motor stops when the setpoint current is < 5.6 mA.
The motor restarts when the setpoint current is > 6.4 mA.
10.3.4 Setting of sensor
The setting of the sensor is only carried out in the case of
operation in closed loop.
Select the following:
• Sensor output signal (
0-10 V
,
0-20 mA
or
4-20 mA
),
• sensor
measuring unit (
bar
,
mbar
,
m
,
kPa
,
psi
,
ft
,
m³/h
,
m³/s
,
l/s
,
gpm
,
°C
,
°F
or
%
) and
• sensor measuring range.
10.3.5 Selection of function for digital inputs
Motor digital inputs (see also fig.
):
• Terminals 1 and 9 --> digital input 2.
• Terminals 10 and 9 --> digital input 3.
• Terminals 11 and 9 --> digital input 4.
The digital inputs can be set to different functions.
Select one of the following functions:
•
Reverse
(reversing):
When the input is activated, the direction of rotation of the
motor is reversed.
•
Min.
(min. frequency):
When the input is activated, the motor will be supplied with the
set min. frequency.
•
Max.
(max. frequency):
When the input is activated, the motor will be supplied with the
set max. frequency.
•
Ext. reset
(external resetting):
When the input is activated, a possible fault indication will be
reset.
•
Ext. fault
(external fault):
When the input is activated, a timer is started. If the input is
activated for more than 5 secs., the motor is stopped and a
fault is indicated. If the connection is disconnected for more
than 5 secs., the fault condition will cease and the motor will
start if automatic restarting was selected.
The typical application will be detecting of missing inlet
pressure or water shortage by means of a pressure switch on
the suction side of a pump.
•
Not active
:
When set to
Not active
, the input has no function.
The selected functions are activated by closing the contacts
between terminals 1 and 9, terminals 10 and 9,
terminals 11 and 9. See also section
The priority of the selected functions in relation to each other will
appear from section
A stop command will always have the highest priority.
