7.3 Setting the distance between hook tips and needles
Proper setting
The distance between the hook tips (2) and the needle grooves (1) must
be 0.1 mm.
Information
A sheet of white paper boosts contrast significantly, making it easier to
discern the distance between needles and hook tips.

To set the distance between the hook tips and the needles:
1. Lock the machine in place at position 1 ( 
p. 15
).
2. Swivel up the machine head.
3. Loosen screws (1) and (6).
4. Loosen screws (2) and (5).
5. Shift the position of hook supports (3) and (4).
6. Remove or swivel down the needle guard.
