at the exhaust air monitor and documented in writing. The latter is done
by filling in the Service and Replacement Report (see the appendix, p. 19)
along with date, description, identifier, and signature of the operator.
Replacing the Stage 2 Filter (Activated Carbon Filter)
Carefully pull the activated carbon filter out of the enclosure and install
a new activated carbon filter. Be sure that the filter sits right next to the
sealing tape, making contact with it. Possibly the sealing tape has to be
replaced too.
The replacement, given that the 12-month interval expired, has to be
entered at the exhaust air monitor and documented in writing. The latter
is done by filling it into the Service and Replacement Report along with
the date, description, short identifier, and signature of the operator.
3.7.11 Confirming the Filter Service/Replacement at the Exhaust Air Monitor
When the three-month filter service interval or the twelve-month filter
replacement interval expires, the corresponding alert (see Display 12)
flashes on the screen to the sound of an audible alarm. To confirm this
warning message, press the START/SET key.
In this situation, when the filter service interval is expiring, the operator
has to open the filter enclosure and to check the condition of the filters
(visual check of the particulate filter and weighing of the activated carbon
filter). Then the weight of the activated carbon filter, determined with a
sufficiently accurate precision scale, has to be entered when the cor
-
responding screen shows (s. Display 13).
After entering the measured weight with the arrow keys
,
,
,
, press
the START/SET key to save this input to memory. If it is within weight
gain tolerance, the exhaust air monitor confirms that the weight of the
activated carbon filter is o.k. and the enclosure can be closed with the
filters reinstalled.
If the twelve-month filter replacement interval is expiring and the warn
-
ing message asks to replace the filters, or if checking the weight of the
activated carbon filter finds that it is out of weight gain tolerance, new
filters have to be installed. Here too (just as in Display 13), the appliance
asks to enter the weight. In this case, the weight that has to be entered
is that of the new, presently installed activated carbon filter.
