1 Equipotential bonding saddle on the cabinet carcass
Earthing the safety storage cabinet prevents ignition hazards.
The interior fittings are conductively connected to one another by an equipotential
bonding saddle or equipotential bonding screw on the cabinet carcass.
This allows earthing in accordance with national regulations, such as TRGS 727 in Ger-
many.
4.5 Ventilation
The safety storage cabinets can be connected to a technical exhaust air system which
ducts outside at a danger-free location.
In normal operation, the industrial ventilation of safety storage cabinets prevents the
occurrence of a potentially explosive atmosphere inside the cabinet.
NOTICE!
In a safety storage cabinet with industrial ventilation, a minimum hourly
air exchange must take place that is at least 10 times the internal
volume of the cabinet when the doors are closed.
If the safety storage cabinet is connected to a separate industrial ventila-
tion system, the ventilator must be installed as close as possible to the
venting pipe leading to the open air.
