Refitting the battery

Position the battery in its seat.

Lay down the ABS positive cable (12), onto positive

cable (11) and start screw (8) on these cables.

Lay down the engine ground cable (10), onto

negative cable (9) and start screw (8) on these cables.

Tighten the terminal retaining screws (8).

Apply grease around the battery terminals to

prevent oxidation.

Orient the cables as indicated.

Attention

The battery gives off explosive gases; never

cause sparks or allow naked flames and cigarettes

near the battery. When charging the battery, ensure

that the working area is properly ventilated.
