a. Indications
In cases where breastfeeding is insuffi
cient or impossible, breast pumps help mothers to ensure their babies always have
the benefi t of breast milk.
Breast pumps can be used at diff erent stages of milk production. At the beginning, they can help to stimulate the production
of milk and later, help to maintain long-term production.
The MINIKIT DUO mini breast pump is designed to be used by breastfeeding women to extract their breast milk. It helps
to relieve mastitis and engorgement and facilitates healing. It also provides relief for cracked painful nipples or when
breastfeeding is diffi
cult or even impossible (inverted or painful nipples, etc.). Furthermore, it enables mothers to feed their
baby with breast milk if it cannot be fed directly on the breast (prematurity or neonatal pathologies (e.g. cleft palate),
diffi
culty with the baby suckling, etc.). Finally, it permits the initiation or maintenance of milk production, especially in the
event of treatment that is incompatible with breastfeeding.
b. Contraindications and adverse eff ects
There are no known contraindications to the use of the MINIKIT DUO electric breast pump.
A risk of allergy to the materials
used (thermoplastic elastomer, colourants) with the part of the body in contact with the breast shield is possible.
The MINIKIT DUO breast pump is a personal electric pump. It may be used to supplement an electric breast pump, in cases
of temporary separation or for any other reason making breastfeeding insuffi
cient or impossible.
Easy to transport and simple to use, it is ideal for active mothers.
It can be used inside or outside the home (e.g. at work, etc.).
The MINIKIT DUO breast pump operates in single or double pumping mode on mains or battery power. It can be used worn
on the body using the belt clip.
Thanks to its setting levels, it tends to reproduce the physiology of feeding: the mother experiences the stimulation and
expression phases.
All KOLOR® breast shield sizes connect to the breast pump.
The mother can thus have a suitable sized breast shield for her
breast morphology to provide optimal comfort for an eff ective, long-lasting breastfeeding experience.
The MINIKIT DUO breast pump is equipped with
“Clean Valve” technology
which limits the risk of bacterial contamination
from fi ngers onto the parts in contact with the breast milk.
