Mechanical installation
Seal all unused cable entry openings on the remote access box using
approved plugs.
By means of four screws (diameter 4 mm) through the holes of the
housing (for drilling template, see page 230).
CAUTION
Never attempt to open the converter module enclosure!
The converter module does not contain any parts that can be
serviced by the user. If the converter module is opened, all warranty
claims are automatically voided!
NOTICE
All screw connections must be secured against self-loosening.
Electrical installation
Connection between gas transmitter and remote access box
Electrical wiring with 3-core or multi-core shielded wires.
The conductors in the power supply must have a sufficiently low
resistance so that the correct supply voltage at the remote access box
is ensured.
Disassemble the housing cover of the remote access box.
WARNING
During installation, all wiring must conform to the relevant national
regulations relating to the installation of electrical equipment and
where applicable the regulations for installation in explosion
hazardous areas. In case of any doubt, obtain the relevant
information from the appropriate official body before carrying out the
installation.
Equipment with a measuring function for explosion protection
conforming to Directive 2014/34/EU, Appendix II, 1.5.5 to 1.5.7 must
be operated using a power network that does not transfer the
primary-side voltage interruptions of up to 10 ms in duration to the
secondary side.
NOTICE
The cable gland is approved for fixed installation only. It is suitable
for cable diameters of 7 to 12 mm.
NOTICE
The maximum cable length between the remote access box and the
gas transmitter is 30 m.
WARNING
Do not supply the equipment with power before the wiring has been
completed and tested.
