Using the UIM (FOMA card)
The UIM (FOMA card) is a card in which your phone number and other information are recorded.
Insert the UIM into FOMA terminal to use it.

For details on handling the UIM, refer to the UIM manual.
Inserting/removing the UIM
Use your FOMA terminal with the UIM inserted. If the UIM is not inserted in your FOMA terminal, first insert it.

Before inserting or removing the UIM, turn the power off and remove the rear cover and battery pack.

Insert or remove the UIM with FOMA terminal closed using both hands.

Insert or remove the UIM carefully as forcing it may damage the card.
●
Carefully handle the removed UIM so that it does not become lost.
Inserting the card

Remove the rear cover and then
the battery pack.

Pull out the UIM slot tray.
Place your finger on the slot cover
and slide it out until the slot tray
stops.

Insert the UIM into the slot with
the IC side of the card facing
down.

Lift the slot cover until its bottom
is even with the slot tray.
Align the cut corner of the slot
cover to the cut corner of the UIM.

Push the slot tray in until it
stops.
f
Reattach the battery pack and
then the rear cover.

Pull out the UIM slot tray.

Remove the UIM by sliding it out.
When the UIM slot tray is removed
Insert the UIM slot tray
and push the tray straight
in.
