There are a number of ways to communicate with the 1838 via a network connection. Before any programming can be
attempted, you need to install the Access Plus programming software on the computer you want to use for this purpose. The
computer must have a network card installed. Follow the instructions in the Access Plus programming software help guide and
refer to section 2.3 for setup information.
Using a network connection, you can connect to the 1838 in different ways:
Locally with a direct connection from the computer to the 1838 using a commercially available crossover cable.
