Daily
•
Check the ICS-900 component mounting panel (see
) for leaks or
spills. Wipe up spills. Isolate and repair leaks (see
). Rinse off any
dried eluent or regenerant with deionized water.

Check the waste container and empty when needed.
Weekly
•
Check fluid lines for crimping or discoloration. Relocate any pinched lines.
Replace damaged lines.
•
Check the back of the pump head and underneath the head for evidence of
liquid leaks. Normal friction and wear may gradually result in small liquid
leaks around the piston seal. If unchecked, these leaks can gradually
contaminate the piston housing, causing the pump to operate poorly. If leaks
occur, replace the piston seals (see

Change the pump seals (see

Rebuild the injection valve (see
).

If an AS or AS-DV autosampler is installed, perform the preventive
maintenance procedure. Kits are available for this purpose: AS Preventive
Maintenance Kit (P/N 060581), AS-DV Preventive Maintenance Kit
(P/N 072678).
•
If an AS40 Automated Sampler is installed, replace the sample tip and tubing.
The ASM/AS40 Sample Tip Replacement Kit (P/N 040835) contains all of
the components required to replace the sampling tip and the tubing between
the tip and the injection valve. For instructions on how to replace the sampling
tip, see the
